-- A middle school teacher in New Jersey is under arrest, accused of having a sex with a 13-year-old student. Thirty two-year-old Amy Burke taught physical education at McGinnis Middle School for nearly a decade.

Investigators in Perth Amboy say the suspect first had sexual contact with the boy in March. Burke, who is also the school's cheerleading coach, is married and has a three-year-old son.

"She's a good girl, but she does her own thing," her father, Michael Haskins, told The Star-Ledger of Newark for Friday's newspapers. "She ran with the wrong crowd in high school. I advise her. That's all I can do ... I'm beside myself."

She has been suspended with pay, but school official are looking to change that to no pay. Burke is facing several charges including aggravated sexual assault, and endangering the welfare of a child.
