ROCKLAND — Amy Bramhall, a former education technician
for School Administrative District 40 was given a one-year sentence
late Wednesday afternoon for gross sexual assault and sexual abuse of
a minor.
Bramhall, 33, of Rockland, was sentenced to
three-and-a-half years with all but one year suspended for the two
charges in Knox County Superior Court. The sentences will be served
concurrently. The charges arose from an ongoing relationship with a
14-year-old student at the Warren Alternative School. Bramhall pleaded
no contest to the charges last week in Knox County Superior Court.
Judge Joyce Wheeler issued the sentence after about a
three- hour hearing.
In addition, Bramhall will be required to serve four
years probation, and she will be required to undergo counseling.
Bramhall also will be required to register for 10
years on the state’s sex offender registry.
For a charge of furnishing alcohol to a minor, Bramhall
was sentenced to 90 days in jail, to be served concurrently with the
other sentence. She also was fined $500 and will be required to pay
$750 restitution to Knox County.
